Ten minutes a day, built around you

SimuCoach is designed for busy adults. Short, focused sessions, a clear plan and a coach who adapts every day.

A typical session

  1. 1 minPip greets you and shows today’s plan.
  2. 4 minRole-play: calling building maintenance about a broken tap.
  3. 3 minGrammar: the partitive after “ei ole”, with three quick drills.
  4. 2 minReview: eight words that were about to slip away.

How do you learn Finnish with SimuCoach?

You start with a five-minute level check, then follow a daily plan of about ten minutes: one real-life role-play, one grammar point and a short review of words that are due. Mistakes are grouped by topic and practised until they disappear, and your coach adjusts the plan every day.

The method combines four well-established principles of language learning: practice at the right difficulty, spaced repetition, meaningful speaking practice and explanations in your mother tongue.

  1. 1

    Choose your language and goal

Pick Persian, Ukrainian, English or Finnish as your interface. Tell SimuCoach why you are learning: daily life, work, your children’s school, or YKI.

  2. 2

    Check your level

A short placement estimates your level from A1 to B2. When you finish, you see every question with your answer and the correct one.

  3. 3

    Get your daily plan

Each day Pip suggests a few steps: a scenario to practise, one grammar point, and words that are due for review.

  4. 4

    Practise out loud

Role-play with the microphone or keyboard. The partner reacts to what you actually say, and hints appear only when you need them.

  5. 5

    Fix what matters

Your mistakes are grouped by grammar topic. SimuCoach explains the pattern behind them and gives you short drills until it clicks.

  6. 6

    See yourself grow

Can-do statements, finished scenarios and a weekly note from your coach show what you can now do in Finnish.

The method behind it

SimuCoach brings together principles from language-learning research and turns them into simple daily habits.

The right difficulty

Practice aims for a success rate of roughly 70–90 percent: hard enough to learn, easy enough to keep going.

Spaced repetition

Words and grammar return at growing intervals, which is the most reliable way to move them into long-term memory.

Meaningful output

You produce Finnish in situations that matter to you, which makes the language stick far better than translation drills.

Mother-tongue support

Explanations that compare Finnish with your own language reduce confusion and save time, especially at A1–A2.

Questions and answers

How many minutes a day should I practise Finnish?

About ten to twenty minutes a day is enough for steady progress. Regular daily practice helps memory far more than one long session a week.

What happens if I make the same mistake again?

SimuCoach remembers repeated mistakes, explains the rule behind them and brings short drills back at growing intervals until you get the form right consistently.

Can I change my level later?

Yes. You can retake the level check at any time, and practice also adapts automatically as your answers improve.
